Wearing White Jeans All Year

I bought my first pair of white jeans last summer and loved the look of this non-traditional denim. When the weather started getting colder and I started putting away my summer clothes, I didn't want to part with my new white jeans. So I thought, how can I keep wearing these jeans all year? Even though I have always heard "you can't wear white after Labor Day". Maybe in the past this saying was true, but people are taking more risks with fashion.

Individual style is more important than looking like everyone else and following set standards of fashion. Despite the critics, I say wear white jeans all year long. Although, you should definitely style it differently as opposed to summer. I think white and black look so classy together which is why I styled my white jeans with a long sleeve black top. To pull of the winter white look, you need to pair your white jeans with simple colors like black, gray and burgundy.

Holiday Savings | Gamiss

With many holidays approaching, great sales are additionally approaching. The famous Black Friday shopping event which occurs every year is coming up next week, and stores like Gamiss are having incredible sales. For their holiday sales, their products are up to 80% off which is an amazing discount. With sales like that you can stock up on seasonal basics like sweaters, jackets and dresses. I know I will be shopping for winter friendly fashion this Black Friday.

1. Handkerchief Cape

This warm and cozy type of outerwear is an unsung hero of the winter fashion world. The handkerchief cape is a stylish way to fend off the cold and look effortlessly good. All you have to do is throw on this winter essential and you have your look done. You can wear this with over the knee boots and a dress if you're in a warmer environment. However, since I'm in a colder environment, I will style a cape with jeans, a sweater and boots. If you want to read more about it, click here.

2. A-Line Dress

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you would know that I absolutely love dresses. They are easy to transition from season to season with a simple pair of black tights. For this gorgeous a-line dress I chose the maroon color for the fall and winter time. This dress has a flattering look as it is not skin-tight. The looser fit makes it comfortable to wear to all holiday parties, whether with your friends or with the family. If you want to read more about it, click here

3. Lace Up Sweater

Everyone is wearing sweaters during the fall season, but what differentiates all these cozy sweaters is the details. With so many types of sweaters on sale, it is hard to choose what style to go with. For my sweater pick I chose the lace up style as I recently went with a big sleeve style. The best part about this look is how the lace up ties are perfectly placed. This allows this to be worn to school as well as out for the night. If you want to read more about it, click here

4. Lapel Duster Coat

The lapel duster coat is a new find for me as I have never tried this style before. I have always loved coats especially during the colder seasons, when your coat is basically your outfit. For this jacket, I love the longer length and think it looks fancier than a cropped jacket. The khaki color of the jacket is perfect with other fall colors like the maroon dress I listed above. I would wear this duster with a long sleeve dress for a holiday party. If you want to read more about it, click here.

That Classic Dress

This past weekend, I went to a dinner that required me to get dressed up. This lead me to search for a dress that is both stylish and warm for the chilly weather. I found this gorgeous houndstooth inspired dress from Dresslily. With this classic look, I wore black tights and black over the knee boots. The dress hits me right at the knee, making this outfit flattering on my figure and giving me the confidence to wear it out. In addition, the longer sleeves made this outfit warm enough to wear to dinner and feel comfortable.

Wearing All The Trends

For today's blog post, I wanted to compile an outfit with all the trends I'm loving. The trends I include are a cropped sweater, structured blazer, faux fur slides, and a choker necklace. The gray sweater and structured blazer are from Zaful. While there are many popular trends, these are my favorites. I started off my outfit with a simple black leggings that is in everyones closet and went from there.

1. Gray Sweater

After beginning the outfit with black leggings, I put on a trendy gray colored sweater. Gray is such a popular fall and winter color as it is so easy to match with other styles. I love the look of gray and black in the fall. This comfortable sweater has a cropped fit and tie sleeves. This sweater gives the appearance of being stylish and effortless.

2. Choker Necklace

I always add jewelry to a look so I chose a choker to match the sweater and adorn my neck. This gray color choker has a velvet texture making it easy to wear and not too tight on the neck. I don't like the string style of chokers as much as they are uncomfortable. I think the addition of the choker necklace gives an edge to this look.

3. Structured Blazer

As much as I would love to wear this gray sweater on its own, it's quite cold in New York. In order to  make this outfit work, I added a structured blazer. This blazer is warm but still very stylish with the button details on the sleeves and front. I love how this blazer has a fitted look to flatter my figure and show the sweater.

4. Faux Fur Slides

Last but not least, I wore this look with faux fur slides. I have been eyeing shoes like this for a while and finally found them. They are actually dupes for high-end designer shoes, yet, I was able to purchase them for under $20. The faux fur lining is warm and makes it easier to incorporate the slides for the fall or winter seasons.

Statement Sleeves & Running Errands

I run errands about every few weeks like most people, depending on the month, I may go more or less. A few weeks ago, I was running low on typical household items and decided to go to Target. Even though Target is often mentioned in the beauty or shopping community, I have shopped there long before I started blogging. Their prices are very affordable and I love looking at new decor, as shown in these photos.

When I went that day, I picked up the products I was looking for and browsed the store. I found this cute pink mug that I have seen all over Instagram and admired a stylish furniture set. Pink is not my favorite color although I do love the combination of pink, white and black. For this day, I wore something more dressy since I was also going out for dinner. I styled a peplum jacket with a choker neck sweater and denim jeans. Since the weather was chilly I wore tall boots instead of wedges for warmth.

My Go-To Fitness Look

Staying active is part of a healthy lifestyle, whether your goal is to lose weight or just be healthy. Once the weather cools down it can be more difficult to get out and get exercise. While I am not a gym fanatic, I do love being outdoors and going for walks or runs. Being outside keeps me healthy both mentally and physically. It's so easy to be cooped up in your house during the fall, but I thrive on fresh air and being outside.

With school and other obligations, I don't always have time to just be outdoors or exercise. This is why I make time every week to enjoy some kind of outdoor activity, of course weather permitting. On this day pictured I went for a run on a cool fall day. Clearly, I took the picture before the run as I am not sweaty. For this outfit I wore black workout leggings with a striped top. Since it was a little chilly outside I added a vest. I had to include my nikes, because what is a workout look without cute shoes.

How I Style Rompers in Winter

On this Sunday afternoon, I decided to mix summer prints with winter style. A romper isn't exactly a winter outfit so...
