Striped Belted Dress

Stripes have been all the rage lately and this is a trend I can get on board with. This fall season has been stylish although that can be taxing on my wallet; however, I was able to find this adorable dress from Zaful at a great price. The blue stripes make this a more daytime look as opposed to night, which is how I wore this dress. I just associate the blue and white with summer nautical or a clean fall look. The striped trend is a fall staple as it is both practical and fun. As much as I love red or leather, it is more difficult to pull off during the daytime.

This Season's Dresses | Dresslily

With November approaching and winter coming, you would think you have to put away your dresses. Think again, at Dresslily you can find affordable dresses for those colder months. Whether you wear dresses with tights or cute leggings, winter doesn't mean you are only subjected to jeans and a sweater. Who doesn't want a diverse wardrobe? I love wearing long sleeve dresses this time of year as they look so flattering and feminine. This includes knitted, high neck and ribbed styles.

1. Knitted Dress

The pattern and style of this dress instantly caught my eye. When black and gray colors are together, they look so modern and sleek. I don't have many knitted dresses and this made me question why. The style of this dress is looser fitting which allows for a more comfortable fit. I would wear this dress with black tights and black ankle boots. 2. High Neck Dress

As you all may know, the high neck or mock neck style is extremely popular. This made me look for a dress with a higher neckline for my picks. I love wearing black clothes so naturally I chose this dress in the black color. This dress is looser fitting as well and looks so cozy. I would wear this dress with nude tights and brown ankle boots. If you want to read more about it, you can click here

I chose the gray color for this dress as I have been loving the color lately. No matter what season it is, gray always looks flattering. If you want to read more about it, you can click here

This is Halloween

Halloween is a time of year that children and adults alike can let go of the everyday stresses and have fun. On this day, it's socially acceptable to act as silly as possible. This carefree and fun environment for people of all ages is what makes Halloween my favorite holiday. As much as I love Christmas, Halloween is the type of holiday that anything goes and nothing is expected of you. Even as an adult I look forward to this season every year and prepare for it by decorating the house, having scary movie marathons and planning a costume.

1. Pumpkin Decorating

I picked up the large orange pumpkin and two ghost pumpkins from a local farm. Instead of carving these pumpkins I wanted to do something different which includes DIY designs. This is such an easy and fun way to decorate your porch pumpkins. I used a pencil to slowly trace the words or designs on the pumpkins. Once I was sure of the look, I went over the designs with a black Sharpie.

2. Scary Movie Marathons

Watching scary movies on TV is my favorite aspect of Halloween. These types of movies really put you in the mood for the season. Once it's October, I start watching movies from my Halloween movie list. Here's some of my favorite movies and scary movie franchises. Some of the movies are more family friendly and others are for adults. In addition, I watch Freeform's 13 Nights of Halloween on cable.

  1. The Nightmare Before Christmas
  2. Hocus Pocus
  3. Halloweentown
  4. Monster House
  5. John Carpenter's Halloween
  6. Trick 'r Treat
  7. Child's Play
  8. Annabelle
  9. Friday the 13th

3. Halloween Costumes

No matter what your age is, you are never too old to dress up or enjoy the holiday. I dress up every year and look forward to it. I am not sure what costume I will wear this year which is why I will look to Rosegal for Halloween outfits and accessories. If you don't want a full Halloween costume, you could look for fun accessories like these skull earrings. To see more Halloween specials you can click here.

Finding the Perfect Pumpkin

I recently went to the pumpkin patch with my boyfriend to pick out the perfect pumpkin. In addition to laughing through the pumpkin patch and having fun, we went through a corn maze which was really scary. The maze seemed as though it was never-ending and reminded me of the movie Jeepers Creepers. The pumpkin patch we went to was extremely crowded, as you can see with the people behind me.

For this fall day at the pumpkin patch I wanted to wear something stylish but warm. Even though the weather was in the low 70's, I decided to wear a black vest over my mock neck dress from Express. I thought this beige dress would look perfect for the pumpkin patch and the boots were essential for walking in the dirt. I do not suggest wearing very nice shoes or sandals for walking in the pumpkin patch.

Sweater Weather | Zaful

One of the coziest and most fashionable wardrobe items in the colder seasons are sweaters. Who doesn't love them, especially when they are at an affordable price for shopping like at Zaful. Sweaters have become so popular lately with the variations in sleeves, mock neck details and choker styles. In the fall time I tend to go for the traditional fall colors like mustard yellow, gray and orangey-rust colors. My favorite style right now is definitely sweaters with sleeve details.

1. Lantern Sleeve Sweater

The trend of bigger sleeves has only recently become popular with sweaters. The bigger sleeve details gives a fashionable look to an otherwise plain sweater. In addition to the larger sleeves, I love the mustard yellow color of the sweater. This yellow color is perfect for the fall season and is really popular on social media. 2. Bow Tied Sweater

The sleeve detail trend continues with the bows on this next sweater. As soon as I saw these adorable bows on these sleeves, I knew I had to add this to my list of favorites. The bows are large enough to be noticed but not overwhelming. I additionally love the gray color of the sweater and feel this could be worn to many places. 3. Choker Neck Sweater

The choker neck style on sweaters has been really popular the last few years. I love how the choker neck really takes the look to the next level. The choker allows the sweater to be worn not only for day but for night as well. In addition, the oversized look and the zippers on this sleeve make this sweater a must buy for fall. My Fall Makeup & Camo Top

My fall makeup consists of a darker eye and lip. While I don't wear colors that are too dark, I love a bronze eye and a nude lip. The Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette includes a variety of gold, brown and red colors. The Gilded Honey highlight gives an intense highlight which is perfect for fall. The Lorac TANtalizer is a very shimmery bronzer, which I prefer in colder months. The lipsticks from Colourpop & Stila are my favorite nude-pink lip colors for fall.

Eye Palette: Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly
Lip: Colourpop Midi & Stila's Caramello
Highlight: Laura Geller's Gilded Honey
Bronzer: Lorac TANtalizer
Nail: Old from OPI

Style For A Busy Woman | Black Blazer

Many women have busy schedules and want to look stylish quick. A blazer is a simple and easy way to accentuate an outfit and dress for any occasion. Even though it's nice to wear comfortable clothing, at times you need to dress professionally. Whether you need to look put together for work or college like myself, a blazer is a style essential. When I saw this black blazer on Rosegal, I knew it would be the perfect attire for my college presentation.

On the day I took this photo, I had to give a presentation for a college class and contemplated what to wear. I was inspired to wear a black blazer and dark jeans for a professional look. The structured fit of the blazer flattered my figure and made me look presentable for my speech. I love how I dressed down this blazer with dark jeans, which was perfect for school. I found my blazer here and many other styles of blazers for a busy and stylish life.

Casual Work Outfit

Like many women, I love pairing different styles and seeing what works for me. This is my first time wearing high-waisted pants and I absolutely love them. I have worn high-waisted jeans but not dress pants like this. These pants have an elastic waist band which makes them forgiving with sizing and a looser fit. This could be work appropriate depending on your work environment. I associate this pant with office casual fashion. These high-waisted pants are a great outfit idea from Zaful.

Since I went to a casual lunch, I wore these pants with a black form fitting crop top.  I thought the small peak of skin at my waist was both flattering and not too distracting from the outfit. The pants come with a detachable belt which gives you two different looks for this outfit. During this day, I wore these pants with ankle boots since it was a colder day. The slimmer leg style allows this to be tucked into boots, or worn with flats. For more fall looks, you can click here

Chambray Shirt & Suede Skirt

Denim will never go out of style, whether you wear it on your legs or on your torso. I love how denim is flattering on everyone and works for every body type. I usually wear denim jeans so it was enjoyable to wear denim as a top. This chambray top has an oversized fit, I rolled up the sleeves and tucked the top into my suede skirt. The chambray is additionally a button up style so I can open a few buttons and wear a lace tank top underneath for even more styling options.

My other favorite aspect of this outfit is my faux suede skirt. I feel as though suede skirts are the epitome of fall and the change of seasons. This beige and almost dark mustard color is so beautiful and goes with nearly every color. This skirt could be styled with a black top for a more chic look, or a bell sleeve top for a more 70s vibe. I love the versatility of this skirt and the lace up details at the front of the piece. I wore this outfit during a cool fall night and felt very stylish and fashionable.

How I Style Rompers in Winter

On this Sunday afternoon, I decided to mix summer prints with winter style. A romper isn't exactly a winter outfit so...
